Guys with girlfriends - why do you have girl best friends?

I've gotten to know this guy over the past few months and we've become best friends. We spend every day together and I'm starting to really like him. However, he has a long distance girlfriend and he's told her I'm his best friend here. I feel like she automatically hates me and would be jealous of how much time I spend with him, but what's his point of view. Could he like me too?Guys with girlfriends - why do you have girl best friends?
2 answers: he either likes you..or is just keeping you there just to have someone to talk to...if he talks about his gf alot to you then he doesnt like u...if he doesnt mention her then he likes uGuys with girlfriends - why do you have girl best friends?
Guys shouldn't have girl besties and girls shouldn't have guy besties. You must be rid of the temptation if ever to have a successful relationship
How do I know if he likes you or not? It's hard to tell. I have a really good friend that is a girl and we hang out a lot, but I don't have feelings for her. My guess is that if he did have feelings for you, he would have not told his girlfriend about you. He would try to hide you... but this is only a guess. You'll never really know. My advice is to don't start anything up with this guy - he's got a girlfriend. Don't come between the two.
he could possibly like you too, but most guys seem to connect better with females an viceaversa... there is alot less jelousy and other things to worry about wen ur best friend is of the opposite sex... i mean dnt u feel more comfortable hanging out with a guy.. dont u feel more protected... its the same with guys... they dont have to be someones else, or worry about getting judged... i hope i helped
A PERSON CAN'T LOVE 2 OR MORE PEOPLE AT THE SAME TIME...
he could very well like you.

i have a girlfriend, but ive gotten do bond with this girl since august and we've become best friends and we spend alot of time together, not necesarilly alone, but you get the point.

i used to have a crush on her but know i see her as just a friend.

it could go either way for you really.

and yeah my girlfriend was a tad jelous but she got over it =]
To be honest, yes, he might like you, or might miss having his gf close and try to get with you. If you sense some chemistry, yeah, it could end up complicated and she probably has reason to wonder. Getting some input from those nearby, they say ';hell yeah she has a reason to worry';. If a guy has a gf that is close by, and has a best girl friend he has known before the gf, no big deal, as long as he puts the gf first. If he is dating someone and gets a ';new'; best girlfriend.. .he should be spending most of his time/energy with his girl, not investing in a new opposite sex friendship MORE than his relationship- that's sketchy. If this guy starts to get closer to you or shows signs of disrespecting his gf, ditch the dude, he's got no class. If something is developing between you guys, a real man addresses the situation honestly and will end things with his current flame first. Good luck.
it's likely, but not a 100% thing
