How do I become friends with a girl who is shy and i never see in class?

there is this girl i've like for 6 months. she doesn't even know me yet and i've never talked to her. if i had a class i would talk to her. but i see her in the hallway while going to my next class. she is just my type, shy, adorable, and smart. she isn't really popular which is fine with me. i really have liked her for a long time and no one else. how do i talk to her? i was planning on making eye contact and smiling at her in the hall...every girl likes that. i really feel like i have a chance with her. i recently stumbled across her myspace which is private. after i do the smiling thing i was going to message her and request friends. i told me friend about this problem and he requested friends with her without asking me. she accepted him! but then he deleted her from his file because he didn't want to offend me. he doesn't want to try and get her becuase he knows i've been interested. she is a junior and i am a sophomore. she's gorgeous.should i do the smile/eye thing message her?How do I become friends with a girl who is shy and i never see in class?

aawww that sounds like someone i know....and im a junior too..and the guy i like is a sophmore...so yea...but i say go for it..theres nothing wrong and there is a chance that she may feel the same way just take the initiative or find a friend who may know her..and can probe her about it.

you are just going to have to make an effort to catch her before or after school and talk to her. until then, try the smile/eye thing. if she has any girlfriends, ask for their help. good luck.

ok so im a girl yes eye contact works but mabey talk to her

in person ask her how she is doing stuff like that
go introduce yourself to her...you say she is shy which makes this the perfect oppuritunity for you to do something, just stop her, say ';hi, my names______, whats ur name?'; and then say ';nice to meet you';, and then start a conversation realted to school, being as this is where ur at, trust me itll work, but the smiling thing most likely wont get u anywhere...fast enough at least
