Stop trying so hard.
You have to seperate for awhile - like at least a few months - then see what happens.
Get interested in another girl and tell her all about it. That should convince her.

what worked for me, first time ever, is first be true to the school. Remove yourself from the feelings that tied you to romantic interest in the first place. then you can be your true self without emotional attacment. thats the key, the rest will follow. Be forewarned that after an 8 month struglle a most excellent friendship was achieved and maintained, only to be infiltrated by love and the complications it brings.
