Talk to them alot and try to lisen to what there saying even if it is not interesting. Bring up conversations about boring stuff like school and people at school. Talk to them online or txt more at first then talk to them in person later. Act cool but, more importantly don't be a jerk.
Hm..I would say you would approach her by saying a smart joke. Hopefully, she'll laugh and then start a conversation. Don't be indiscreet or say anything offensive, listen carefully to what she says, smile and laugh even if the joke ain't that funny. If you only want to be friends with that girl you should let her see your intentions 'cause she may misunderstand you and think you see her in a different way. Then show to her that you trust her and share a secret or an experience you had.
