How do i become friends with this girl who i dont really know?

i'm crushing majorly hard. he's kinda quiet, so idk if ill be able to go straight for him. he's got like 2 best friends as far as i can see, and one is his neighbor, who is a girl. She has a class with me, and her locker is directly above mine. so i think i'm gonna go for friends with her and it will lead to him. but she already has a best friend, and i'm not the most out going. so, how do i talk to her when i see her so she wants to be my friend and hang out sometime? she's in one class with me, but were on opposite sides. i talk to her when i see her at her locker but it's really just conversational, not *i want to be friends* or anything. and please dont give me any crap, this guy is perfect! how should i become friends with her, not just like acquaintances. And I wont use the girl, she's really cool and i genuinely think she'd be a good friend.

oh, and when i see this guy or am working with him in class, how can i be friendly since he's so quiet, and he wont think im weird or forward or anything? like what can i talk about?

Please dont give advice about the guy, I'm really bad at talking to them, and I only see him across the room in the one class, and in the hallway, and it would be really weird to just go up and talk to him randomly. And if i can just be friends with him, thats fine, because i really want to get to know him better, even if it doesnt lead to a relationship.

talk to this girl every chance you get. when shes at her locker walk up to yours, say hey nonchalantly then compliment something shes wearing [ex. ';oh man i really like those earrings, boots, belt, purse, etc.] then ask her were she got it. Tell her you love that store and about something really cute you got from there too [ex.';I love American Eagle my favorite jeans are from there';]. Or if you don't shop there say something like ';Oh I never go there but I should cause they have the cutest stuff'; Then ask if shes shops at where ever your own favorite store is. [ex. ';Do you ever shop at H%26amp;M?';] (wait for reply) then tell her something about the store [ex.';They have really cute clothes for a good price';] If she said she doesnt go there much tell her to check it out sometime.

see were the convo goes and it might end there which is okay but when you leave your locker or when she goes to leave be sure and say her name! [ex.';alright gotta run ashley, see ya in class';]

I guarantee this will get your foot in the door to becoming her friend. and it leaves the opportunity to invite her to go shopping sometime. When your trying to make friends with a girl its almost like youve got to hit on her haha be really really nice and its important to be girly but not sound fake. everytime your at your locker with her talk to her like even if you say its so cold in here or something like that or tell her about something funny that happened in your last class [ex.';omg mr. smith fell out of his chair in class today you should of seen his face it was priceless. the class laughed for like 15 minutes straight.';] you can always ask her questions about the class you share even if you already know the answer but it could potentially start a convo. Or just start talking about the class [ex.';Was it just me or was class extra boring today?';]

Once you get on the right level with her when you pass her in the hall try to make eye contact then flash her a quick closed mouth friendly smile then look away (so to not come of as creepy haha) maybe even throw in a wave at her.

Once you become just a little more than acquaintances you could even ask her about the boy [ex. ';hey, your friends with blah blah right?'; girl: ';yep why?'; you: ';he just seems like a cool guy'; girl: ';why do you like him?'; you:';well i dont really know him but he seems cool'; shrug shoulders give her a guilty grin and walk away] She might even tell him which DONT FREAK OUT could be great. because as long as your on good terms with her shell prob put in a good word.

Definitely become her myspace friend or facebook if your not already. once you have an actually friendly convo with her even leave a couple comments on some pics then shell prob go to your page and check it out and leave a comment like thanks girl! or something like that oo or even better ask a question in a picture comment like ';love the bathing suit. what beach is this?'; so then shell probably def go to your page to answer your questions.

if you miss a class or something ask her at her locker for her number or screen name to get missed notes or something. when you get her number or screenname that will be your ticket to chillen with her outside of school because youll then have the opportunity to talk to her online or through texts or phone after schools out or on weekends...

If I could give you one piece of advice, it's not nice to befriend someone in order to get to someone else. How do you think she would feel about it? If you're too chicken to ask him out, then stop worrying about it.
go up to her and be like

hey im blahh blahh

and then she shouldnt just

turn you down.

so shell be like im blahh blahh

and then yeah just keep talking
I think you should be friends with this girl just to have more friends.



Being friends with the guy is an independent subject, people are clever and you don't want to use this girl to get to him, she could work it out.



So hang out with her because she could be a cool friend.



And if you are really courageous you could start a conversation about the boy in question and you could even do it as part of the initial conversation of getting to know her. You could say ';i know you're friends with xyz and he looks like a nice guy, what's he like ?'; this way nothing is hidden and everything is in the open and your probably would form better friendship with this girl. She may even help you get him.
