How do i get a friend to become my girl friend? any tips?

I have a friend in my class whom i really like, we get along really well. We have gone to lunch and study sessions all semester long. she is in my club as an officer where i am the president. she will be in my classes next semester as well. I want to be more than just a friend with her. Can anyone give me any tips how to go about this?How do i get a friend to become my girl friend? any tips?
My advice is tell her. I was friends with my hubby for years. Then one day after he'd cooked me dinner, he told me he liked me, and wanted to be with me, as in more than a friend. I like him too, just didn't have the courage to say anything. Who knows where we'd be if he hadn't spoken up. We're still together five and a half years later, and more in love than ever. He's my soulmate.



Just ask her if she wants to get something to eat one day. Then while you're talking over dinner, casually tell her. Just say, that you like being friends, and lately you've been wanting more. Tell her you don't want it to hurt your friendship, and even if she isn't interested you'd still want to be her friend. Say you'd like to move forward to being more than friends, and see how it goes. Then just wait and see what she says.
