Can I Become Good Friends With This Girl?

i really like this girl, but i want to just be friends. but she goes to a diffrent HS, but takes the same bus. i talked to her once and she told me her name, and added me on facebook etc. the second day, i was sitting alone and she came up to me and told me stuff like how she just came out of a relationship (meaning lets just be friends) which is what i wanted but i think i gave the wrong impression the first day. anyways i told her that i wanted to get to know her as friends and stuff, and after that and before she left she said she would talk to me later.



i can talk to her on facebook, but really the only time i can talk to her is on the after school bus. and sometimes there is either her girl friends there or sometimes a guy friend. how should i approach?
