How do i become friends with a girl i like?

this girl i like knows i like her and doesnt like me but from wut i understand isnt scared to become friends with me(from what our common friend told me). I've given up trying to make her my gf and I also would like to become friends with her but think this is where i'm stumped. won't she think that everything i do or say is not because i want to become friends with her but because i still like her? How could i show her that im generally interested to her as a friend and not come off as someone who hopes one day in the future that she feels the same for me?How do i become friends with a girl i like?
