How do I become friends with this girl, I have the intention of asking her out?

Alright so to start off the girl i like is named Jenna. When we were freshmen in high school we had a few classes together and people would always say how we were perfect for each other (cause we are both kinda short but she is still rele cute, alot of people i no say she is but they say she is too short for their taste, well shes about 5-1 and im 5-2) So i would always shoot down that suggestion before i would even look her in the eyes or see her reaction cause guess what, my sisters name is Jenna. Well in sophomore year we have no classes but i see her in the hall a few times and say huh shes actually kinda cute. Now here we are as juniors and i cant go an hour without thinking about her at least for a few seconds. I'v also decided that a name is just a name and that doesn't matter any more. We have english class together and thats it. I found out she does have my math teacher tho and i do ask her some stuff about math. In the last few weeks iv talked to her like a total of 5 minutes. I try to talk to her more but she is ALWAYS talking to this other girl named carly before and after class, we cant talk much during class and we sit on opposite sides of the room. So far i only talk to her the times carly is busy. She talkes to me when i talk to her and is always smiling while she does, but she doesnt approach me and i dont think its because she doesnt like me its just she's kind of a shy girl who always does her work and doesnt walk around classrooms. Now how do i talk to her and become friends without seeming like a jerk who interrupts conversations. I would like to do it fast because my parents are going on a 4 night cruise in 3 weeks leaving me and my sister home alone and I will be able to do whatever I want. I want to be friends first because i'v realized that its wierd to ask a stranger out while in high school (I know its different when your older). We have both been single through high school and also once i do ask her out (hopefully while my parents are away, not that my parents are strict or anything cause their not at all) should i ask her to a movie or to my house or whatHow do I become friends with this girl, I have the intention of asking her out?
